Ouzo Plomari by Issidoros Arvanitis was created in 1894. Issidoros Arvanitis, a persistent perfectionist, had successfully achieved the highest challenge in distilling. He attained the perfect blend of aromatic extracts in a final blend, which was neither dominant nor overwhelming. 
In his shiny copper still, being used even today, Issidoros Arvanitis found the way of blending the aromatic seeds and herbs found on the island of Lesvos, with the aniseed of Lisvori, which is considered to be the best in the world.
