| BOE Science and Technology Company, Ltd. was founded in April of 1993 and went market in Shenzhen Bourse. Net asset of the company has reached 2.2 billion yuan on December 31st of 2003 and total asset over 10.3 billion yuan. BOE Science and Technology Company has set up a complete industrial link focusing on display instruments with spare parts and materials on the upper stream and display and panel TV at lower stream. Production bases of the company are located in Beijing, Shaoxing, Suzhou, Shenzhen and Icheon city of Gyeonggi-do in Korea. Centering display industry, BOE has established 6 business groups. Major products of these groups are all in leading position both in domestic and overseas markets. Future goal of the company is to become a world-class enterprise in display area with its revenue of major business reaching to 10 billion USD in 2010. |
Park Project Brief
Located in Beijing Economy and Technology Development Park, BOE Display Science and Technology Park is an industry park dedicated in production of LCD instruments and the largest one in several leading industry parks. Planned land area of the park is 1.32 million m2, and planned constructed area is 1.06 million m2. The park is consisted of primary production area and supporting area. The former one locates in southwest part of the Development Park, on No. 54, 55, 56 and 57 lands, occupying 620,000 m2; while the latter one is in southeast part on No. 77, 78, 80, 81, occupying 700,000 m2. We mainly invite investment for the supporting area this time.
Beijing Economy and Technology Development Park is on west of the starting point of Jing-Jin-Tang express way in southeast suburb of Beijing, and south of planned municipal 5th Ring Road. The Park is 3.5 kilometers away from South 4th Ring Road, 7 kilometers from South 3rd Ring Road and 16.5 kilometers from Tian An Men Square, which is at the center of the city.
Beijing Economy and Technology Development Park will help the BOE Display Science and Technology Park to realize "9 transits and 1 smooth". At present, water supply for Beijing Economy and Technology Development Park is 120,000 tons/day, which will be increased to 200,000 tons/day. As for power supply, there's a 220,000V transformer substation and two 110,000V transformer substations. And there's another 220,000V transformer substation and an 110,000V transformer substation to be built up during the "11th 5-year period". To ensure industrial water supply for semiconductor and LCD production, Beijing municipal government will further reduce and adjust water supply for traditional industry (such as steel, textile, printing and dyeing).
Operation Management System of the Park
Any company investment to the Park must apply for approval from management committee of the Development Park. Related procedures such as land use, industrial and commercial registry and tax registration shall be conducted according to law after obtaining the approval. All enterprises in the Park have legal independent operation rights such as operation decision, product marketing, organization configuration, labor arrangement and pay distribution, etc. Enterprises shall set up complete accounting books, submit accounting report and enterprise annual inspection report to responding department of the Park according to related rules, and accept supervision of financing, tax, industrial and commercial agencies and so on. Annual accounting report of enterprise shall be checked by accountant or auditor registered in China and obtain certificate. Enterprises shall take practical measures to prevent pollution, improve labor conditions, and ensure employees to work under safe and clean conditions, according to national and municipal environmental protection and labor protection regulations. Employing units and labors shall take part in social insurance according to laws, regulations and related rules of the city. Dismiss or bankruptcy of enterprise shall be implemented in accordance with related requirements of laws and regulations.
Project Objective and Scope of Works
This Project is aimed at setting up a cooperation platform for global manufacturers and research institutes in LCD area to promote development of technologies and products, push forward industrial cooperation between enterprises and accelerate rapid and healthy development of TFT-LCD industrial link.
It's to build up a new manufacture center in China, set up a aircraft carrier in LCD area, absorb supporting investment of famous upper and lower stream international THT-LCD enterprises, establish close LCD products delivery links between enterprises, and jointly build up a world-class display science and technology park with international competitive capabilities.
The display park is a hi-tech science and technology industry park that focuses on production of THT-LCD displays and upper and lower stream products and has reasonable arrangement and perfect supporting facilities.
General Conditions
1. Enterprises that enter the BOE Display Science and Technology Park shall be in accordance with the development strategy of BOE.
2. Enterprises enter the park shall form upper and lower stream link with TFT-LCD industry of BOE display park.
3. Enterprises enter the park shall be engaged into industry according to environmental protection requirements and other related ones of Beijing Economy and Technology Development Park.
Application Procedure
First, submit application to BOE. Then, both parties will conduct negotiations about regulations that the enterprise shall abide by based on requirements of the Park. The next, make sure the land division and land use issues for enterprise enters the Park. Last, entering enterprise discusses land use issues with Beijing Economy and Technology Development Park.
After completing above procedures, entering enterprise shall submit all certificates and documents required by related approval procedures of Beijing Economy and Technology Development Park.
Related Policies
Foreign investment Projects with total investment below 30 million USD shall be approved by management committee of Beijing Economy and Technology Development Park, and those joint venture or cooperative Projects with investment over 30 million USD (including 30 million USD) shall be approved by higher responding agencies.
Enterprises invest in the display park will enjoy preferential policies provided by Beijing Economy and Technology Development Park.
