|
Beijing Municipal Commission of Rural Affairs has the following major responsibilities:
1. To carry out state agriculture policy and regulations and formulate local laws and regulations regarding agriculture work in Beijing
2. To formulate long-term and annual plans for rural economic development.
3. To instruct rural economic system reform and construction of rural collective and cooperative entities.
4. To instruct rural production, processing, distribution and foreign trade.
5. To coordinate and manage key infrastructure and construction projects on agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, fishery and agricultural machinery.
6. To be responsible for formulation of plans for the development of mountain areas and to organize and coordinate economic development work of mountain areas.
7. To be responsible for the sustainable development of agricultural resources, energy construction and ecological agriculture.
8. To develop plans for rural agricultural technologies and education.
9. To arrange plans for use of special fund for agriculture development.
10. To supervise Beijing Township Enterprises Bureau.
11. To undertake other relevant assignments from Beijing Municipal Government.
