4. To plan, supervise, coordinate and evaluate educational work at all levels.
5. To manage, plan and guide research of educational science.
6. To organize related colleges to undertake state and Beijing's key research projects.
7. To promote high and new technologies and application of scientific results.
8. To manage foreign cultural exchange and cooperation.
9. To plan and coordinate comprehensive reform of the education system, structure and teaching.
10. To undertake other relevant assignments from Beijing Municipal Government.
