Beijing Tongzhou Industrial Development Area
The Development Area is planned to cover an area of 2.78 km 2 . Currently, some 200 enterprises have settled in the Development Area. They include ELF Atochem of France, PPG of the United States, Asahigarasu of Japan, Nichimen Corporation of Japan, Jin Group of Malaysia, and Ottobock Group of Germany.
Thus far, the Development Area has completed construction of necessary infrastructural facilities.

The Development Area encourages development of electronic information technology, technology related to optics-machinery-electronics integration, new materials, new energy, energy saving technology, new-type building materials, refined chemicals, new medicine, biological medicine, as well as technology and products that bring about high economic benefits and suit the characteristics of Beijing as the capital of the PRC. Domestic and foreign businesses are encouraged to set up sub-Development Areas inside the Development Area.
