During the Beijing 29th Olympic Games in 2008, basketball and other events will be held in the Wukesong Culture and Sports Center.
Location and Facilities
In Wukesong Area, Haidian District, Beijing.
The total construction area of Wukesong Culture and Sports Center is approximately 220,000 m2 , including venues for basketball, temporary venues for baseball and softball, cultural and sports facilities (including Wukesong Swimming Center, cultural activity center, outdoor field and track venue and training venues) and commercial facilities.
Assessed Investment
The total investment is estimated to be to be RMB 3 billion (for reference). Beijing Haidian District Government is inviting interested bidders to join in the finance, construction, operation of existing Design Plan for Wukesong Culture and Sports Center.
Post-Olympic Use
After the Olympic Games, Wukesong Culture and Sports Center will be used for national and international sports, cultural, exhibition and public entertainment activities. It will have a maximum of 30 years concession period. |
