During the 29th Olympic Games in 2008, canoe/kayak events will take place in the Olympic Water Park.
Location, Construction Size and Assessed Investment
It is located in northeast side of Chaobai, Xiangyangzhai, Ma Po, Shunyi District, covering an area of 302.7 hectares. The planned construction area of the Olympic Water Park is 20,000 m2.with a total investment of approximately RMB756 million (for reference). Shunyi District People's Government will determine the owner through an open tender for the design, construction, operation and maintenance (including routine maintenance, maintenance during non-activity and replacement of facilities) of the Olympic Water Park. It will have a maximum of 30 years concession period.
Post-Olympic Use
After the Olympic Games, the venue will be used for national and international sports events and training, public entertainment activities.
