Beijing Countryside Horse Racetrack Venue

During the Olympic Games in 2008, the horse racing will be held in the Beijing Countryside Horse Racetrack Venue

Location, Construction Size and Assessed Investment

The project will be located in southwest side of Chaobai River, Xiangyangzhai, Ma Po, Shunyi District with a total land area of 370 hectares. 35 hectares will be for the existing old Shunyi Horse Racetrack venue and the remaining 335 hectares will be used for the expansion. The planned construction area of Beijing Countryside Horse Racetrack Venue is 50,000 m2. The total investment of the project is estimated to be RMB1.063 billion (for reference), including the investment for the land and other Olympic facilities.
Shunyi District People's Government is inviting potential local and foreign investors or other business entities to join the tender for Beijing Countryside Horse Racetrack Venue. With a maximum of 30 years concession period, it will also be in charge of operation and maintenance There will be a joint partnership between the project company and current owner of Beijing Countryside Horse Racetrack and Beijing Golf Group for the investment, construction (design and engineering) and operations.

Post-Olympic Use

After the Olympic Games, the racetrack will be changed into a golf course for business operations.
